Have you ever wished that you were a little more connected to your peers? Do you want to have the opportunity to build lasting friendships and professional relationships? Are there questions to which you’d like to hear a student’s response, but you don’t know who to ask?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the current officers of UK’s ALA student chapter have a solution for you.
In Fall 2012, UK ALA launched a student mentorship program that pairs incoming and current students. You can sign up for the Fall 2013 program today!
The program has been successful in establishing student connections, allowing many students to create lasting bonds with their face-to-face and distance peers, provide valuable insight for each other, and prepare to serve as both mentors and mentees in their professional careers.
Participation is voluntary. Those interested—both current students (mentors) and incoming students (mentees)—should complete the form available through the following link no later than September 8th.
